If I became a president -2

If I became a president, I would establish a ‘foreign domestic helpers (= maids) company’. Now, Japan has a problem of the low birthrate. According to a research, a half population will be over 65 years old in 2030. Families are also becoming more nuclear. The elders may have to look after each other. Most women have to stay at home to look after their littles by themselves after giving birth babies.

If Japanese use such service of ‘foreign domestic helpers(=maids)’ with low cost, our life will be totally changed. Maids will do anything e.g. cooking, ironing, washing, cleaning the house, grocery shopping, walking the family dog, taking care of children and so on if you request.

Now, we have enough number of universities in Japan. Majority of people afford to graduate it. We are wealthy and high educated race. Let’s go for work and activate Japanese economy. Let’s forget about the housework and enjoy our life. So the right person in the right place for the right job.

Maids who are from Indonesia and such developing countries are also happy to work in Japan. Japan is the leading country in Asia and safe, wealthy, hygienic and well-organized county. In Indonesia and such developing countries, it is still usual to some degree that a girl who grew up in a kind of poor family goes to city at around 15 years old and works as an internal maid, sleeping in the house and earn money. If an Indonesian maid comes to Japan, she will earn more than 7 times bigger salary than her salary in her home country due to a difference of a wage level and living cost. She normally keeps very strong ties with her relatives. So she will be happy to help them through her salary.

Maids often take on the role of a nurse in taking care of the elderly and people with disabilities. I would like to choose such high skilled and enough experienced maids as our employee. If possible, it’s better they have enough experience in Japanese family in their home country because they know our culture, custom and language beforehand. I also would like to see their characters whether they are reliable or not and have interview with them and their current employer.

Our company has several departments as follows educational department, arrangement department. The educational department which provides several class e.g. Japanese language, custom, culture and disciplines. The arrangement department will be a bridge between our employee, maids and our clients. Our company will provide a good security dormitory with reasonable privacy.

I need to enter into a short-term contract with maids at the first year. If they work well, the term of contract will be longer. The contract mentions rules and regulations regarding the employment, labor, minimum wage, medical treatment service, penalty and so on. They are not allowed or required to take up any other employer during the effective period of the employment contract.

This is my plan.
